Stretch Marks
Stretch marks, considered unsightly and unacceptable by many people, are the result of you skin's collagen and elastin breaking down under stress. In the beginning, stretch marks are red. They turn white as part of the healing process.
Laser treatments stimulate collagen production, improving the appearance of stretch marks. Their appearance continues to improve in the 3 - 6 months following laser treatment. Results vary and are not usually immediate. They may require mutiple treatments. Newer and shallower stretch marks respond better than older, deeper ones.
Lines and Wrinkles
Fine lines and wrinkles are formed by an irregular thickening of the dermis because of a decrease in the amount of water held by the epidermis. This is mainly caused by sun damage and environmental toxins. Expression lines form around the eyes, forehead and mouth from squinting, laughing, worrying, frowning and smoking.
The appearance of lines and wrinkles can be greatly improved through laser skin therapy. Results are especially spectacular when laser therapy is used in combination with our other skin therapies: BOTOX® & Juvedérm™, Microdermabrasion, Chemical Peels, and our medical skin care products.
Acne
Acne is the result of the body's inflammatory response to pores that are blocked by a build up of sebum (from the sebaceous gland), bacteria, and dead skin cells. When this build up comes to the surface of the skin, it results in a whitehead or blackhead. The erruption of the pore can cause scarring.
Daily cleansing and toning of the skin is vital in treatment of acne. Microdermabrasion and chemical peels assist in the improvement of skin tone and texture and can greatly improve facial appearence. Laser therapy is also effective in improving skin tone and texture by shrinking the sebacious oil glands and inducing collagen remodeling, thereby diminishing erruptions and scarring. Collagen injections can also be used as a temporary measure to improve the appearance of scarring.
